Real Me Wireless Buds Review: Design and Comfort

The design is very minimalistic on the right side; there are three button controls, and on the left side, there is nothing but the Realme logo. Micro USB Port and LED indicator also placed on the right side, there is no cap protection for the USB port, and it is exposed to dust and water. The neckband is very flexible, and earbuds made of hard plastic material.

Ear tips are angled inside to fit into ears securely and comes with ear hooks for extra support. Because of the lightweight design, we can use them during running also. Real Me Wireless Buds come with IPX4 Splashproof, they can take some sweat without any problem.

Rubber ear tips are very comfortable, and we can wear them for long hours without any problem. They also help to reduce the outside noise a little bit.

Features Of Real Me Wireless Buds

Three tactile buttons on the right side can be used to control the volume and music playback, ironically there is no power button. Separating the magnetic lock will turn on the headset and connect to a previously connected device, and clipping the buds together will turn off the headsets Realme is calling it Magnetic Fast Pair. This feature is sometimes useful, but sometimes it is irritating. For example, if we put them in our bag accidentally, if the buds got separated, they will connect to a mobile phone. Thankfully they will turn off after 5 minutes if there is no connection. My suggestion is that go for earphones case for extra safety.

Volume buttons don’t have any other controls except increasing and decreasing the volume.

At the beginning differentiating between the three buttons is a tricky part. Volume buttons don’t have any other controls except increasing and decreasing the volume. Middle button (R Button) where the controls are a bit confusing for music playback single tap will pause, double-tap will play next song, and triple tap will play the previous song. By using the R button, we can also attend the calls with a single click. By the long press, we can end the call. Also, we can activate the voice assistant by pressing this button for 1sec.

Sound And Call Quality

I am very surprised by the sound quality of these headphones. Tuning is just right. They produce the right amount of bass. Treble is slightly higher side for my liking. One problem with bass is that is I play bass-heavy Hip Hop songs. Bass will dominate the vocals. This happens throughout the song. Listening to instrumental songs is good experience vocals are clear and can hear instruments very clear.

Gaming Experience: Played the recent sensational game Call of Duty, bullet sounds blast sounds are very great. If you are in search of the affordable headset for gaming, Real Me Wireless Buds are an excellent choice.

Connectivity And Battery

Packs the latest Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. Once it is paired with a mobile phone, it makes a stable connection. There are no connection drops. The range is 10 feet, Once I charged my phone and used these headphones in another room haven’t faced any connection problem.

12 Hours battery backup what company is claiming at 50% volume, I got close to 10 hours when playing music between 70-80% volume levels. If you are in a hurry, there is also fast charging support, 10 Minutes of charge will give you about 100 Minutes battery. Moderate users can easily use them for 2-3 days with a single charge.

Conclusion To Realme Buds Wireless Review

Anybody who is in search of a budget headphones for all-round usage they can go for these. Realme’s first attempt to create budget wireless headphones is definitely a success. Build quality is, and sound quality will justify the price tag.

Pros:

  • Build quality
  • Excellent pricing
  • Good bass

Cons:

  • Sometimes there are problems with Magnetic Fast Pair
  • Call quality should have been better

The Competition:

These headphones are the company’s first attempt to enter in very competitive sub-2K Bluetooth earphones category. Realme Wireless Buds are direct competitors to boat rockerz 255 and Mi Sports Bluetooth Earphones. I haven’t used Mi headsets. If I have to choose between Boat VS Realme, I will go for Realme Wireless buds.
