Design

Company has followed the same design philosophy of the OnePlus 8 series except for the change of camera placement on the backside. OnePlus Nord is one beautiful phone design-wise, the camera bump on the backside is very big.

On the front side, Nord packs 6.44 inch 90Hz AMOLED display, and two punch-hole selfie cameras are placed on the top left side corner. Nord has an under-display fingerprint reader and it is quite quick. The power button is placed on the right side and volume buttons placed on the other side, USB-C port along with the speaker and Sim Card tray.

Camera

To compete in midrange segment phones must have a good camera, OnePlus Nord is powered by quad-camera setup on the backside and two selfie cameras on the front first time on OnePlus devices. The main shooter is 48MP at 24mm wide and has f 1.8 aperture and it is also capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. The other three cameras one is 8 MP wide-angle lens, 5 MP depth sensor, and 2 MP Macro lens.

On front side Nord comes with two cameras in the punch-hole display, one is 32MP wide angle lens and another one is an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

Hardware and Software

This phone is powered by Snapdragon 765G (7nm) chipset, which is a very capable one, and to back it up there are 3 RAM variants that will give smooth lag-free experience. Nord runs on Android 10 on top of Oxygen OS.

OnePlus has given three storage options 6/64GB, 8/128GB and 12/256 GB. Unfortunately there is no Memory card slot on OnePlus Nord.

Battery

It packs a decent 4115 mAh battery and to power it up 30 Watt fast charger is provided in the box. It will take 30 minutes to 70% charging. This battery will definitely get through a day, if you need charging quick charge is there for you.

The base variant of Nord is 6/128 GB version priced just under 25k, 8/128 GB version priced below 28k finally, high spec variant 12/128 GB version priced under 30k.

If you are in search of a good phone with a great display and support 5G network then you should consider OnePlus Nord. There are some good alternatives like Realme X2 which have identical specs to OnePlus Nord except the processor is Snapdragon 730G. 

What Variant of OnePlus Nord Should You Buy?

The base variant will come with 64GB of storage, considering the 4k video recording and apps, games take lots of space these days going for this will not be a good option for sure. If you are going to buy OnePlus Nord then at least go for 8/128 GB version.
